Ahmad Ashique

I am P P Ahmad Koya, I am 20 years old, and for as long as I can remember, I have always been a person who’s very positive, curious, ambitious, and a very proactive person.

I am from Kozhikode, a district in the north of Kerala and I was bought up in a joint family. Growing up, my parents emphasized the importance of having a variety of interests and staying physically and mentally active, so I spent a fair amount of time trying out various sports and cultural activities like music, drama, debate, cricket, football, etc. It wasn't until I was in school that I discovered my passion for drama and football, and I have participated in both throughout my entire school career. and during my entire school period, I have participated in several street plays, and musicals and was even part of the school dramatics club. I also played my fair share on the football field as I was the school football team captain and part of the Arsenal Academy team, India.

My grandfather used to always tell me stories about his early years when he was just a peanut wholesaler in the 1960s and how he eventually built one of the largest consumer goods manufacturing and retailing companies in Kerala. These stories stayed in my head and gave me my first exposure to the business world; I later realized that my grandfather had inspired me to pursue this career path.

Throughout my school years, I have always loved to interact with new people, learn new cultures and traditions, and when it was time to choose a college for my further studies it was exactly what I wanted to do. I decided I wanted to go to a college that pushed me outside my comfort zone but at the same time help me become a true business professional and that is why I decided to join SCMS, Pune a place that was entirely new to me filled with people from different cultures and background and even though I had my doubts about settling in, but this college and city have embraced me with open arms, and I have been able to adapt perfectly by practicing and keeping my cultures and hobbies intact but at the same time learning new things and being part of different organizations which has helped improve myself as an individual and a professional. This is my journey and I personally think this is the best way to describe myself as a person.
